Fairhope Intermediate School has experienced many positive changes over the years. Fairhope Intermediate School was established as an administratively independent entity in 1992, having previously functioned with an assistant principal who reported to a principal on another campus. In the fall of 1993, the school moved from the Twin Beech Road location to the Fairhope Avenue campus. The school experienced a rapid influx in student population until the 1998-1999 school year. At this time, the Baldwin County Board of Education addressed the physical space needs of Fairhope community schools by building a new school, J. Larry Newton School. The new school decreased our student population. Currently, Fairhope Intermediate School has approximately 496 students, serving nine to eleven year olds in fourth and fifth grades.
